EPP Blocks for The 70273 Project

XX blocks for The 70273 Project can be made quite easily by EPP

The one inch honeycomb is a good one to use & if you want skinnier crosses, just trim off 1/4 inch from each side as shown, then baste the fabric over your templates using your preferred method
Sew your basted templates together & applique to your background fabric
The block above was made using house shaped templates
Here again I trimmed off 1/4 inch from each side to make a less chunky cross

Hope this little tutorial helps :)

Remember when you are making blocks for The 70273 Project they need to be specific sizes as listed below & must be accompanied by a completed Provenance form. If a Provenance form is not completed the blocks cannot be included in the quilts.

Blocks must be a white base with 2 red X's on it and one of 3 sizes:
3.5" x 6.5" (9 cm x 16.5 cm)
6.5" x 9.5" (16.5 cm x 24.2 cm)
9.5" x 12.5" (24.2 cm x 31.8 cm )

The red crosses can be machine pieced, appliqued, embroidered, made with ribbons, buttons whatever you choose. Make one, make lots as plenty more are needed to reach the goal of 70,273, one block to represent each disabled person who lost their life!

Happy Stitching :)
